Certain areas within Panama are more populated, whereas others are scarce. Darien, fitting in to the category of the latter, is quite sparsely populated, and less well known. Darien is located on the Pacific of Panama, as is Panama City. The difference between the two areas however is immense. Darien is home to many species of wild birds, as well as many lush forests. Whereas any traveler has heard of Panama City, Darien is a bit of a secret.

Whether people are interested in Panama tourism in general and do so through staying at the many Central American hotels, or they delve deeply into the cultures and the individual areas themselves, this area of the world has much to offer. Less populous areas like Darien Panama, as well as overly populated areas alike offer different opportunities to different people.
